Shades of Cool

This Peter Pilotto for Target dress was a must-have for the 2014 collaboration, coming in a whimsical and psychedelic print.

The countdown continues. For this next Target collaboration look, I decided to revisit the Peter Pilotto 2014 collection. This lime, teal and blue iris print crepe dress is a total statement piece and must-have from the collaboration, making any wearer look as if she stepped straight off the runway and into a fashion editorial. At only $69.99, this piece of wearable art was a steal and one of the top sellers in the collection that was sold both in Target stores and online at Target.com and Net-a-Porter.com. The fitted bodice with its contrasting black lines and side panels add to the scuba style of this dress while the tulle underneath gives the skirt its volume.

I paired this look with a slicked back high pony, Juicy Couture statement earrings, Aerie clear matte circular shades and Rock & Republic black pointed-toe pumps with a lucite heel. The metallic leather pouch is another Target collab piece by Marc Jacobs for the Holiday 2012 line with Neiman Marcus.

Only 20 more days till Altuzarra for Target hits stores on September 14!

The bold black lines and side panels of this dress contrast nicely with the bright and colorful iris print.

The colorful print of this dress is a showstopper, so no accessories should take the spotlight away from it. I kept my shades, shoes and clutch all neutral to complement the dress and not overpower it.

I kept my hair and makeup simple, opting for a slicked back ponytail so nothing would interfere with the high neckline of the dress. I accented the cool tones in the dress with a purplish pink lipstick in Spitfire by MAC.
