Turn Blue in Monochromatic Mens Workwear

Combat the Monday blues with this sweet office look that is sure to get your coworkers talking.

Happy Monday! It's back to the daily grind, so why not get yourself inspired with a look that's sure to impress your coworkers. We take traditional workwear denim and pair it with a more sophisticated getup for the office, tying everything together in blues and browns, which inspired this post's title, "Turn Blue" (If you haven't listened to that The Black Keys' album, do yourself a favor and load up Spotify now! Hey, Fonzi kind of looks like drummer Patrick Carney, no?).

Tone down denim for a more professional feel by pairing it with other cool tones like this gray blazer and these navy chinos.

The key piece here is the denim shirt. It hearkens back to the traditional use of denim for its durability in work clothes. We transformed that, inspired by the notion of workwear, by pairing it with a crisp, twill blazer from General Assembly, H&M navy chinos and brown BedStu oxfords for the modern business man. We kept the color scheme in cool tones, specifically blue, for a monochromatic feel that makes the denim of this Target Merona shirt look more professional.

This Breda watch pairs perfectly with the wooden buttons of this twill blazer.

Spice up your work look with colorful socks while keeping your shoes classic and professional.

We carried the blue all throughout, even to these Target robot socks that are playful enough to help combat the Monday blues. We highlighted the brown, wooden buttons from the blazer in the rest of this look's accessories, with brown oxfords, a Docker reversible belt and a tan Breda watch with a blue face.
