This summer, I'm indulging in a few current obsessions, which include off-the-shoulder tops, hologram everything, beachy Brazilian tunes, and zucchini fries--seriously, if you haven't tried zucchini fries, you need to get to a PDQ stat! Though I usually avoid anything super trendy, I do have a soft spot for off-the-shoulder tops this season. They're romantic with an effortless appeal, perfect for staying cool in the summer. I had to pack one for my annual trip to Palm Island last month as it's my new vacation staple. Since I adore co-ords as well, I instantly fell in love with this set from Aerie, my go-to for summer fashion.
No beach vacation is complete without a little Aerie from cover ups to swimsuits, flowy dresses, and palm-printed jumpsuits. This co-ord set gives off major beach vibes and keeps things modern and minimalist with its black and white palm print. I stuck to a black and white color scheme when packing for my trip, making it easy to mix and match pieces for reuse. Aerie's summer line is full of black, white, and taupe prints and swimsuits to make mixing and matching a breeze. Together, this co-ord set makes a statement; wear the pieces separately for subtlety. The shorts can be paired with a black crop top while the off-the-shoulder top can be paired with high-rise shorts or a jersey bodycon pencil skirt.
Burnished metal accessories pair well with the muted taupe palm print of my outfit, so I paired my co-ord set with a layered chain necklace from Forever 21 and BaubleBar ring quartet, also fun for mixing and matching with other jewelry. Modern and minimalist sandals like these from Target keep with the beach theme. As no look of mine is complete without a pair of sunglasses, I chose my favorite nude matte Ray-Ban wayfarers that I got for a steal at Nordstrom Rack. They're my go-to shades as of late as they match with everything.
